Connecticut wedding and elopement photography

I've lived in Connecticut for most of my life. Based in Ellington and working as a Connecticut wedding and elopement photographer from the shoreline to the Litchfield Hills, through every season this state does so well. And when couples bring me beyond state lines, I travel throughout New England too.

I know these roads. I know what the light does in a Hampton Valley forest in early August. I know which farms feel like they were built for a first dance and which ones were built for the after party. I know the venues that give you room to breathe and the ones that'll rush you through dinner before the next couple's rehearsal.

That local knowledge matters more than most people realize when they're choosing a photographer.
But more than knowing the locations, I know the couples who get married here. The ones who've spent real money on this day and want to actually live it. The ones who want their photos to be honest, even if honest is messy and loud and a little imperfect. The ones who care about the people in the room more than the perfectly styled table.

That's who I shoot for. And if that sounds like you, we're going to work well together.

What a Connecticut Wedding Day Feels Like

There's a slow anticipation that builds in the mornings. The getting ready rooms, the quiet moments before anyone else arrives, the way everything shifts when the ceremony starts and the day stops feeling like a plan and starts feeling like a memory.

Most wedding days follow a similar order of events. But I work with every couple to build a timeline that reflects their priorities, even when that means doing things differently than everyone else does them. The goal is always the same: enough room in the day that nobody feels rushed, and nobody has to perform for a camera.

Connecticut gives you a lot to work with. The seasons here are real. Summer greens and late sunsets that go forever. Fall color that doesn't need any help looking beautiful. The variety of venues alone means every wedding feels different: estates and mansions, upscale barns, tented receptions on a farm, country clubs, waterfront properties. Something for every couple, every style, every vision.

I love that about shooting here.
No two days ever look the same.

Connecticut weddings, elopements, micro and intimate weddings, adventure elopements, engagement sessions, family sessions, boudoir, and multi-day coverage.

I'm local. Connecticut weddings never carry a travel fee, and multi-day coverage is completely doable without adding anything to your quote. If you want me there for the rehearsal dinner, the morning of, and the full wedding day, we can make that work.

Who books me for Connecticut Weddings

They've spent real money on this day and they want to enjoy it.

They don't want to spend three hours on portraits. They want maybe twenty minutes of family photos, a few genuine moments together, and the rest of the day spent with their people.

Documented honestly. Not staged.

They love film. They love the after party. They probably have dogs. They want their photos to look like their wedding actually looked. Real and loud and full of the people they love most, not like a copy and paste from every other wedding on Instagram.

The guys usually don't want to be posed. The couple doesn't want to be told what to do. Everyone just wants to be themselves and have it captured that way.

That's what I do. Every single time.

Never. I'm local, so there's nothing to add.

Yes! I shoot throughout New England regularly. Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and beyond. If you're getting married outside of Connecticut but still in the region, reach out and let's talk about your location.

All of it! I do a lot of work in Tolland, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New London, and Windham counties. Towns I'm frequently in include Hampton, Portland, Simsbury, Middletown, New Hartford, Canterbury, Stonington, Pomfret, and Mystic. If you're somewhere else in the state, just ask.

April through November. The seasons here are genuinely beautiful across that whole window. Summer gives you long light and warm nights. Fall gives you color that does all the work for you.

Absolutely. Connecticut has more elopement-worthy spots than most people realize: farms, waterfront locations, state parks, even Hartford City Hall if you want something simple and intentional. Let's talk about what you're envisioning.
